Decision - Local Development Framework - Brighton & Hove Core Strategy: Shoreham Harbour Preferred Options (DA7)

To seek approval to go out to consultation on the strategic Core Strategy Preferred Option with regard to Shoreham Harbour including the amount of development and the infrastructure required.

The lateness of notification for this item to be included on the Cabinet agenda for the 21^st May is due to:

(a)  delays to the receipt of key background studies on Shoreham Harbour not directly commissioned by Brighton & Hove City Council and therefore beyond its control, and

(b)  the recent designation of the intended South Downs National Park boundaries and its policy implications.

(1)       That Cabinet agrees the draft DA7 for the wider Shoreham Harbour area (as set out in the appendix) for consultation and inclusion in the Council’s Core Strategy subject to any minor alterations being made by the Director of the Environment in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environment.
