Corporate Building Maintenance Strategy 2009-2012
Decision Maker: Central Services Cabinet Member Meeting
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: Yes
Decision:
1. That the Corporate Building Maintenance Strategy 2009-2012, set out in Appendix 1 to the agenda, be approved.
Reasons for the decision:
The council needs a maintenance strategy to ensure that it is making best use of available maintenance funding. The decision is required to endorse the adoption of the Corporate Building Maintenance Strategy 2009-2012 and enables the council to fulfil its commitment to deliver the targets contained both within this strategy and AMP&CPS
Alternative options considered:
Failure to identify, prioritise and plan the maintenance of our key building stock will increase risks, inhibit service delivery, lead to a negative perception of the Council, reduce the value of the assets and prevent fulfilling the council’s priorities, aims and objectives as stated in the AMP&CPS 2008-11.
