Purpose:
The paper describes the joint CCG and Council
Cancer Strategy for Brighton & Hove and asks the board to
ratify it.
It aims to improve outcomes for those with cancer. It sets out the
current situation and the plans to improve prevention, screening,
diagnosis, treatment and support for those living with and beyond
Cancer.
Decision:
1) That the Board is asked to approve the Cancer Strategy.
2) That the Board agrees to receive an update including an estimate of the strategy’s predicted impact on clinical and financial outcomes, including a sensitivity analysis, at the March 2018 meeting.
