Purpose:
The 2020 – 2021 Brighton Dome Brighton
Festival (BDBF) report is the first of what will become an annual
report to TECC. BDBF is one of the primary investments Brighton
& Hove City Council (BHCC) makes to arts and culture in the
city.
This report covers, background on the relationship between BHCC
& BDBF, legal structure & funding, capital project , impact
of COVID on 2020 -2021 operations, programming and next steps for
2021 – 2022.
Decision:
RESOLVED – that Committee:
1. Note the impact of the pandemic on Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival.
2. Agree that a report on the operations and benefits for the city of this organisation be presented annually to this Committee.
