Purpose:

This report sets out the route to developing a Preventing and Tackling Violence against women & girls, domestic abuse and sexual violence strategy. The?strategy will set?out?Brighton?&?Hove?City?Council’s?approach?and commitment?to prevent and reduce the harm caused by the range of violent abusive crimes known as Violence against Women and Girls, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWG/DA/SV).

Decision:

1)             Cabinet agrees the strategic direction towards a final Preventing and tackling VAWG/DA/SV strategy 2024-2028 as set out in the route map in section 3.6- 3.7 of the report.   Cabinet notes a full strategy will be brought for approval in Autumn 2024.
