Extract from the meeting of the Governance Committee held on 10 March 2009 (copy attached).

(a)  Report of the Acting Director of Strategy & Governance (copy attached).

1.     That the Cabinet be recommended to approve the dissolution of the East Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council Integrated Waste Management Services and Contract Committee with immediate effect; and

2.     That the Head of Law be authorised to make the relevant changes to Brighton & Hove City Council’s Constitution and to the Joint working Agreement.

3.     That the extract from the proceedings of the Governance Committee held on 10 March 2009 be noted.

213.1         The Cabinet considered an extract from the proceedings of the Governance Committee held on 10 March 2009 concerning the proposed dissolution of the Integrated Waste Management Services Contract Committee (for copy see minute book).

213.2         RESOLVED - That, having considered the extract and the reasons set out in the original report, the Cabinet noted the extract and accepted the following recommendations:

(1)       That the the dissolution of the East Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council Integrated Waste Management Services and Contract Committee with immediate effect be approved; and

(2)       That the Head of Law be authorised to make the relevant changes to Brighton & Hove City Council’s Constitution and to the Joint working Agreement.
