Agenda item - To consider nominations for (a) the Mayor-elect and (b) the Deputy Mayor-elect

Report of the Monitoring Officer (copy attached).

47.1         The Mayor noted that the next item dealt with the nominations for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor-Elect and that a report from the Monitoring Officer had also been circulated with the agenda.

47.2         The Mayor then sought nominations for the position of Mayor-Elect for 2015/16.

47.3         Councillor G. Theobald nominated Councillor Hyde, and Councillor Peltzer Dunn formally seconded the nomination.

47.4         The Mayor noted that there were no other nominations and therefore put the motion that Councillor Hyde be appointed as Mayor-elect for 2015/16.

47.5         The motion was agreed.

47.6         The Mayor then sought nominations for the position of Deputy Mayor-Elect for 2015/16.

47.7         Councillor Randall nominated Councillor Bowden, and Councillor Buckley formally seconded the nomination.

47.8         The Mayor noted that there were no other nominations and therefore put the motion that Councillor Bowden be appointed as Deputy Mayor-elect for 2015/16.

47.9         The motion was agreed.
