To receive petitions from Members.

Petitions will be presented to the Mayor by Members of the Council at the meeting.

 

Minutes:

32.1       The Mayor invited the submission of petitions from councillors.  He reminded the council that petitions would be referred to the appropriate decision-making body without debate and the councillor presenting the petition would be invited to attend the meeting to which the petition was referred.

 

32.2       Councillor Fryer presented a petition signed by 2068 residents concerning planning permission for the Starbucks café in St. James’ Street, Brighton.

 

32.3       Councillor Steedman presented a petition signed by 108 residents concerning the need for a cycle path from the Marina to the Brighton Pier.

 

32.4       Councillor Bennett presented a petition signed by 425 residents concerning parking restrictions in Stanford Ward.

 

32.5       Councillor Bennett presented a petition signed by 72 residents concerning parking on crossovers in Shirley Drive, Hove.

 

32.6       Councillor Lepper presented a petition signed by 88 residents concerning traffic calming in Stanmer Villas, Hollingdean.

 

32.7       Councillor Ken Norman presented a petition signed by 285 residents concerning parking in Withdean Ward.

 

32.8       Councillor Mears presented a petition signed by 1017 residents concerning a planning application for the Brighton Marina.

 

32.9       Councillor Mrs Theobald presented a petition signed by 307 residents concerning a phone mast in Patcham Ward.

 

32.10    Councillor Elgood presented a petition signed by 50 residents concerning Hove Library.

 

32.11    Councillor Bennett presented a petition signed by 21 residents concerning a request for the change of name from Stanford Ward to Hove Park Ward.
