Repairing and adapting the city to the impacts of climate change is a key priority in the council’s 2030 Carbon Neutral Programme. is one of the council’s key commitments with an ambitious target to become a carbon neutral city by 2030. The Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) and its associated pieces of work are the first step in identifying Brighton & Hove's specific vulnerabilities to climate change impacts and demonstrate strategic adaptation work to ensure B&H builds resilience to the impacts of climate change. This report updates members on the work that has been progressing to date, to deliver on this important priority area for Brighton & Hove and in making the city - it’s residents, communities, infrastructure and economy more resilient to climate change and extreme weather events.
