ePetition - close a side road every sunday

Taking the Artists Corner area of Hove (Frith, Landseer, Leighton, Poynter and Prinsep roads) as an example, on rotation, one of the four East West roads should be closed to traffic every Sunday. This approach would mean kids and adults in the area could come and have a shared area to socialise and play in. It could reintroduce a strong sense of community and help friendships and locals support eachother and would gets kids out on the streets able to socialise with eachother for at least one day a week freely.. it is becoming very apparent that maintaining a car oriented community has resulted in children being effectively “trapped” in their homes unable to go out on the street without adult supervision and this is resulting in mental health issues and broken communities. Brighton and Hove, of all councils in the UK should be acting on rectifying that.
