Parking Problems - Bakers Bottom

We the undersigned petition Brighton & Hove Council to consider the introduction of double yellow lines at the junctions of Rochester/Livingstone St, Bute/Livingstone St and Hendon/Livingstone St in the area commonly known as "Bakers Bottom"

Police are constantly being called to this area to deal with cars and other vehicles parked on the above junctions. The streets in Bakers Bottom are narrow and when vehicles park on the junctions they then obstruct not only other road users but more importantly access by emergency vehicles is significantly restricted.
The introduction of double yellow lines just on these three junctions will alleviate this problem.
This e-petition is in addition to a paper petition being organised by the local PCSO's.

This e-petition will be received at the Environment Cabinet Member Meeting on 31 March 2011.

This ePetition ran from 10/01/2011 to 17/03/2011 and has now finished.

14 people signed this ePetition.

Council response

The Cabinet Member for Environment gave the following response:

"Thank you for your petition. I will instruct officers to investigate current parking demands in the area."
