Speed camera on Beaconfield Road

We the undersigned petition Brighton & Hove Council to To place a speed camera on Beaconfield road to prevent dangerous driving.

There has been an increase of dangerous driving on Beaconfield road. The road is currently 20mph but individuals will drive 30 - 40 mph. There has also been incidents of people going faster and appear to be racing down the road. There has also been some dangerous overtaking whilst residents attempt to park their car and cars screeching to stop at the traffic lights.

There is concern that there will be more car accidents, parked vehicles being hit and pedestrians and cyclists being injured.

This ePetition ran from 12/10/2021 to 17/01/2022 and has now finished.

9 people signed this ePetition.

Council response

The petition is now due to be presented to the Environment, Transport & Sustainability Committee meeting on the 18 January 2022.
