Public Health Schools' Programme
Following the formal move of Public Health in
the city council, the Director of Public Health met schools'
head-techers to discuss the public health priorities for children
and young people and what they might wish to see from a wider
public health programme. Alongside the work on a new local puglic
health schools; programme, in keeping with national recommendations
Public Health and Children Services are jiontly develoing a school
nursing developmetn plan. It is a timely opportunity to take a more
comphrensive public health approach to school health in the city,
as well as to strengthen existing work.
