Public Health Schools' Programme

Following the formal move of Public Health in the city council, the Director of Public Health met schools' head-techers to discuss the public health priorities for children and young people and what they might wish to see from a wider public health programme. Alongside the work on a new local puglic health schools; programme, in keeping with national recommendations Public Health and Children Services are jiontly develoing a school nursing developmetn plan. It is a timely opportunity to take a more comphrensive public health approach to school health in the city, as well as to strengthen existing work.
