Review of Parking Standards for new development Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)
The current Council Parking Standards, used to
assess the appropriate level of parking in new developments were
adopted in 2000. There is therefore a need to review and update
these to reflect current policies and best practice guidance.
A consultation on the Issues & Options surrounding the Parking
Standards has already been carried out to help inform the review
and update of the standards.
This report will propose an update and amendments to these parking
standards for new developments. The report will seek approval to
formally consult on the revised parking standards.
