Health & Safety Service Plan 2016-17
Section 18(4) of the Health & Safety at
Work etc. Act 1974 imposes a duty on every local authority to make
adequate arrangements for the enforcement within their area of the
relevant statutory provisions for which they are responsible, and
to perform those duties in accordance with guidance issued by the
HSE. The Health & Safety Service Plan proposed for approval
will assist the council in discharging its section 18
duties.
