Blue Badge Fraud Investigation Update
This report provides an update on Blue Badge
investigation following a successful joint bid with East Sussex
County Council.
That accounted for 2 officers (one for B&H and an officer at
ESCC) dealing with Blue badge misuse investigation and also police
support.
This allowed projects such as Operation Bluebird where a joint
collaboration ensured blue badge misuse was investigated and acted
on in a proportionate way, protecting disabled concessions and
parking revenue, in the case of B&H this has initially centred
on the Hove area.
The report also outlines possible ways forward to develop the
service following the successes and national recognition this has
received.
