Premature Baby Leave

The council has been asked by Councillor Hamilton to introduce a policy to support employees who have premature babies. The enclosed will act as an amendment to the Maternity Leave policy, and will in essence give employees of premature births additional leave at full pay equal to the time between the Birth Date and the Due Date. This is to ensure certain developmental markers are reached by the time the parents are required to return to work under the councils maternity policy.
