Homelessness and Rough Sleeper Strategies

We are required to combine these into one strategy in line with Government guidance and to commence development of a new strategy for the next five years (2020 - 2025). Report to include:
Highlight outcomes of previous strategies;
Strategic context, commencement of consultation to develop new strategy taking into account: the prevention agenda; emerging issues; local political manifesto priorities; central government guidance; and, other strategies that need to align/compliment and issues both local and National that could have an impact over the next few years;
Proposed consultation, citywide to include consultation with: residents; interest groups; support services; health; service users etc. This will be a comprehensive consultation that is proposed to take place October to mid-November. This will be undertaken in a variety of ways so as to be inclusive and we will consider an event to launch the consultation;
Timeline. Draft strategy developed taking on board feedback from the consultation. Draft Strategy to HNHs Cttee Jan 2020. Consultation on draft strategy Feb 2020. Final strategy to HNHs Cttee March 2020;
Regular updates. In addition to regular member briefings, in developing the strategy the Rough Sleepers Strategy Board will be provided with regular updates to enable us to maximise engagement and any additional steer.
