Early help review and development of a city-wide strategy to support children, young people, and families at risk of disadvantage

Nationally the Government has committed to extending the Troubled Families Programme and has renamed this as the Supporting Families Programme. The paper explains Supporting Families in more detail and the commitments the Council has signed up to.
Locally the Council plans to lead a multi-agency review of early help with the aim of improving the coordination of services to improve the outcomes of disadvantaged families. This will include transforming the way data is shared across different services and organisations.
The report also outlines plans to develop a strategy to support children, young people, and families at risk of disadvantage.
